Quick Promoting Guide

for your Fox Folk Marionettes & Friends!


Puppets are great fun for young and old! Make the most of your Fox Folk & Friends event by getting the word out!

Plan Ahead!

  • Start publicizing at least a month ahead
  • Create a catchy name for your event
  • it's not just "a puppet show"
  • Show excitement; be specific and descriptive
  • Share short messages with your group regularly as your event date nears


EXAMPLE:

(Your group name) is sponsoring (title of your event) featuring the Fox Folk & Friends Marionettes. FFM&F have entertained thousands while sharing important messages with audiences of all ages. 

Share With Your Community

  • Consider distributing free tickets in your neighborhood
  • Have members of your group invite neighbors, friends, relatives -- especially grandparents & grandchildren.
  • Mailings or newspaper ads are always a possibility.
  • Posters in local grocery stores, libraries, parks.
  • Offering a free giveaway at the event can build attendance & excitement -- FFM staff can even help with the drawings if you wish!

    The Fox Folk Marionettes & Friends team will be performing at (YOUR NAME HERE)

     

    YOUR NAME HERE will be hosting a special puppetry performance to mark their YOUR INFO HERE. The FFM&F team will be performing this special program at (ADD DATE TIME INFO HERE!)

     

    The group uses marionette-style puppetry to share its unique message. The performance will include 15-20 puppets performing songs and skits as well as audience participation. The public is welcome to attend.

     

    The Fox Folk Marionettes have been entertaining audiences since the mid-1960s. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, the group is led by Director Dave Payne. The team has performed for schools, churches, and libraries as well as community and special events. Combining music and puppetry, the shows are a delight for all ages.
